Died Friday afternoon, August 14, 1998 at Hurley Medical Center, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was 26. She was born October 15, 1971 in Stoughton, Massachusetts, daugher of Phillip M. Dillon and Betsy (Andrus) Dillon. Karen attended schools in Caro graduating from Caro High School in 1989. She attended Great Lakes College and was employed with Hurley Medical Center in Flint in the billing department. Karen also worked as a private nurse for the handicapped. She was a devoted and loving mother, wife, daugher, sister and friend. Karen had enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her family. Surviving are her parents, Phillip M. Dillon and his wife Phyllis of Riverdale, Betsy Dillon of Caro; fiance' Eric R. Graves of Flint, whom she was to marry on September 26, 1998; daughter, Samantha Tiara Dillon of Flint; brothers, Michael and Dawn Dillon, Robert and Shaleen Dillon, all of Plainfield, IL; step-brother, Richard M. Sutich of Elburn, IL; step-sister, Deborah Dawn Muschong of Roselle, IL; grandmother, Betty Andrus of Reese; nieces and nephews, Austin, Bailey, Carter, Michael, Jessica, Morgan, Brittany; aunts and uncles, Wes and Joyce Andrus of Reese, Peg and Bill Satchell of Caro, David and Chris Andrus of Port Hope, Sue and Dave Selden of Reese, Tim and Janeen Dillon of San Jose, CA; fiance's parents, Robert and Linda Graves of Beaver Island, fiance's brothers, Robert and Lorena Graves of Edmore, Kurt and Kathy Graves of Grand Rapids and many friends in Caro and at Hurley Medical Center. Karen was predeceased by her grandparents, Robert and Maxine Dillon and John Andrus. Funeral service for Karen was held at 11am, Tuesday, August 18 from the Reese United Methodist Church in Reese. Rev. Ray Jacques of Caro United Methodist Church officiated. Memorials may be made to an educational fund for Samantha. Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home of Reese was in charge of arrangements.
